Pokémon Go is hosting a fire-type event that encourages you to walk around and hatch eggs called “Scorching Steps” from June 21-25.
You’ll get doubled candy from hatching eggs throughout the event. Eggs put into Incubators during the event will also have a halved hatch distance. The first three eggs you hatch using the Pokémon Go egg hatching widget will also be cut to 1⁄4 the usual distance.
Notably, Larvesta can appear as shiny for the first time, alongside its evolution Volcarona. There’s also an increased chance to find and hatch Slugma and Litleo shiny.
