Wild Area is another premier event in Pokémon Go, which is meant to mimic the location with the same name from Pokémon Sword and Shield.
With a special fixation on electric- and poison-type Pokémon (and thus bringing Gigantamax Toxtricity out to play), there are a lot of event perks and interesting factors for this weekend-long celebration.
The event is bringing back previously exclusive powerful Legendary Pokémon, like Origin Form Dialga and Palkia, as well as Primal Groudon and Kyogre. It also introduces mighty Pokémon, which are more likely to be bigger in size, having higher stats, and are a bit harder to catch.
If you need help with other guides over the event weekend, we have explainers on Go Safari Balls, how to get Toxel, and for ticket holders, the “An Accomplished Trainer” choose a path choice.
Pokémon Go Wild Area day 2 differences and changes
There is only one difference with day two of Pokémon Go Wild Area 2024, and that’s a change to the mighty Pokémon that spawn. Our mighty Pokémon list contains a full breakdown, but you can now encounter the likes of Dragonite, Electivire, and Mamoswine in the wild.
Beyond that, once Monday rolls around, there will be two things of note; the start of any ticketed bonuses for those who have completed the “An Accomplished Trainer” research (giving you an incentive to get this wrapped today), and the removal of seeing when friends are raiding on your friends list and being able to join remotely, a feature which was added only just this week.
Best of luck getting the Pokémon you need on this second and final day!
Pokémon Go Wild Area habitat schedule
Between the start and end of the Go Wild Area event, the habitats will alternative between Electric and Poison Hour, like so:
Pokémon Go Wild Area habitat spawns
There are only two habitats during the event, and they’ll alternate every hour. As well as this, know that mighty Pokémon have their own daily schedule of appearances.
If you bought a ticket, there’s also a Collection Challenge for each of the habitats.
If you manage to catch all of the above Pokémon, you’ll get a Pop Star Pikachu for completing the electric-type habitat and a Rock Star Pikachu for completing the poison-type habitat.
Pokémon Go Wild Area habitat Field Research
The Field Research available will also rotate depending on what habitat hour it is. The research are pretty similar, with just different typings and Pokémon as rewards.
Pokémon Go Wild Area perks and bonuses for all players

The Go Wild Area event has quite a few perks, which are for everyone, not just ticket holders:
Ticket holders have a slew of other bonuses.
Pokémon Go Wild Area ticket bonuses
If you buy the $11.99 Go Wild Area ticket, you’ll get access to the following bonuses:
That’s a whole ton of bonuses. The biggest thing here is the increased shiny chance, which will allow trainers who are seeking out specially-colored Pokémon to find them easier.
The other big perk is the increased Max Particles. If you’re looking to hunt Gigantamax Toxtricity or participates in a ton of Max Battles during this event, buying this pass will be really useful, since you need Max Particles to even attempt these battles.

Pokémon Go Wild Area raid targets
The following Pokémon will be in raids and Max Battles throughout the event:
If the weather is terrible where you are (it is November after all!) remember there’s the ability to more easily join raids remotely this week.
